OUR INSPIRATION

The Frank R. Williams Scholarship Fund awards financial gifts to college-bound student athletes in their senior year at Calvin Coolidge Senior High School.

Why student athletes? We were inspired by one of the best – Frank Rudolph Williams.

Williams was a native Washingtonian, devoted teacher, coach, husband and, father. He instilled in his students the importance of education, hard work, leadership, and community service. Throughout his childhood, these ideals were fostered by his parents and teachers in the District of Columbia Public Schools. They would become the focus of his work with young people and lead him to a life dedicated to serving others.

Our mission is to continue Williams’ legacy and share his ideals with others.
